For field users#

This guide covers the day-to-day for those doing the work: finding your jobs, carrying them out, documenting what you do, and reporting when something isn’t right.

This guide is about the mobile app. That is where field work happens. The desktop version is mentioned only where it differs, or where something can only be done there.

A normal working day#

1. Start on the home screen — see what’s urgent today
2. Find your work order — grouped by urgency
3. Do the job — tasks, checklists, photos, hours
4. Report a deviation if you spot something

In addition:

• Creating a one-off job — when something needs doing that isn’t already there
• The app in the field — the practical side of working on mobile
• Good practice — the habits that produce the best history
• Clocking in and out — only if your organisation uses the add-on module

The single most important habit: record while you work, not afterwards. A photo taken as you open the hatch is worth more than a description written four hours later.
